Costa Rica – Final Day

Our tentative plans for one last wildlife tour were derailed this morning by the crazy tropical rain that lasted all day. We decided to hightail it back to San Jose, a drive that took about 4 hours with intermittent traffic.

We stopped at a roadside restaurant and hotel. Lunch was a very very tasty fried rice.

Back in San Jose, we bid adios to Gerardo the rental truck and we checked into the same airport hotel. Then we spent some time repacking our suitcases with the loads of coffee and chocolate we have picked up along the way.

One final dinner at an Argentinian Parilla with good steak and good wine and it’s off to bed for an early start home.
