We Travel Because We’re Curious.
We’re Kris and Dave, two Canadians who believe some of the best experiences happen when you’re willing to go a little farther, take the slower road, and see what’s around the next corner.
Travel with Kris & Dave is about exploring the world with curiosity, from the wild places close to home in British Columbia and the Yukon to the places that have been sitting on the bucket list for years.
We’re not trying to visit every country, race through a checklist, or convince anyone that we’ve figured out the perfect way to travel.
We just want to go interesting places, experience them properly, and share what we find.
We’re travelling at a stage in life where comfort matters a little more than it used to, but adventure matters just as much.
That means our version of travel can take a lot of different forms.
One trip might have us exploring a remote road through northern Canada. Another might mean flying halfway around the world to photograph mountains and wildlife in Patagonia, standing among the tsingi on Madagascar, or heading south toward New Zealand.
Sometimes we’ll camp.
Sometimes we’ll stay somewhere incredible.
The common thread isn’t how we travel.
It’s curiosity.
Going Beyond the Postcard.
There are already plenty of places online to find “10 Things You Must See.”
That’s not what we want this to be.
We want to show what travelling somewhere is actually like — how we got there, what surprised us, what we’d do differently, and whether we’d recommend doing it yourself.
You’ll find stories, photography, video, practical travel information and the occasional mistake along the way.
Because the mistakes usually make the better stories anyway.
From British Columbia to the Quiet Beyond
Home is British Columbia, which gives us a pretty remarkable backyard.
Mountains. Islands. Forest service roads. Small towns. The Pacific coast. And one very long highway pointing north.
The bigger idea is simple:
Go farther. Stay curious. Find the places worth remembering.
Whether that means driving north toward the Arctic Ocean or boarding a ship headed toward Antarctica doesn’t really matter.
The adventure is the point.

Travel with Kris & Dave started as a place to document our travels for ourselves, our friends and our family.
Now we’re turning it into something bigger.
We’ll share the journeys here and on YouTube — including the planning, logistics, equipment, costs and lessons behind them — so that if somewhere we visit sparks your curiosity, you’ll have a better idea of how to go see it yourself.
We don’t know exactly where this will lead.
And that’s kind of the idea.
