We flew from Kuala Lumpur back to Singapore this morning and have a 17-hour layover before our international flight tomorrow morning.

We are staying at the airport tonight (there are three hotels to choose from!). Luckily, there is a lot of crazy stuff to do and see in The Jewel, a huge shopping mall attached to the Changi airport.

The Rain Vortex is the world’s tallest indoor waterfall.  Water falls 130’ from a dome in the ceiling.

The skytrain that connects Terminals 2 and 3 also passes right by the waterfall (and slows down so you get a good view!).

The waterfall is surrounded by the Shiseido Forest Valley, one of Singapore’s largest indoor tropical gardens. The 5 storey garden houses over 2000 trees and 100,000 shrubs.

Dinner was at a steak house with a view of the waterfall.

We had to take a photo for our boys.

Tomorrow very early we start our 16 hour flight home. We are happy we’ve seen such a diverse bunch of wildlife on this trip. We’ve had such a dichotomy of luxury vs adventure vs stark rooms. It’s been an amazingly great trip.
