On our last day we negotiated a 3pm check out so that we could go exploring and not have to leave our luggage anywhere. Since out flight home wasn’t until 6pm we had a decent amount of time. We headed over to DUMBO in Brooklyn. There are some fun acronyms for places here. DUMBO stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass.
It was neat to see the view across the river and the Brooklyn Bridge is yet another iconic NYC landmark. We walked up onto the bridge to get some shots. But the weather didn’t cooperate! We didn’t linger long!
We headed back to the brownstone ever so grateful it had a dryer! Relaxed over some lunch and finally headed back to Newark for our flight home. It was a great trip, short, fast and full. NYC is cool city to experience and it was like seeing movie sets half the time.
