Today doesn’t really fit our trip. Here we are seeing some spectacular history and such. And then we go to a them park. Well if you have kids you’d understand. Ryan wanted this trip way back when. Eric had no idea what it meant. However Legoland is translatable to 8 year old (as he was last year when we began planning). I must say I wasn’t really looking forward to today and more importantly was worried that this would be the highlight. I’m delighted to say I was wrong on both counts. Both boys really enjoyed the other stuff and I was pleasantly surprised about today. I’m not a crowd person. But today, while busy, had enough stuff to do that I didn’t feel too hemmed in.
Lego Land miniature was the highlight for sure. Although the Star Wars part was a very close second. If you know our family you know we are a Lego family. Just under 50 000 pieces as of last Christmas! To say we spend time building is a bit of an understatement. And here are artists building sculptures of both really cool Star Wars stuff and then all the history we just spent the last few weeks seeing. Amazing indeed.
There was a lot of this:
And thankfully not a lot of this:
First the Miniature Land.
London
Buckingham Palace was special in that they had Prince William and Kate showing off new baby Prince George
Ealiean Donan Castle
Edinburgh
Stonehenge
Then the Star Wars stuff.
Finally some pics of the cool stuff we saw today. No particular order
Legoland is awesome!
I would say a pilgrimage for the Dye family!
Tell Ryan I like his hair long like that…ROCK STAR! 🙂
